At least two weeks prior to your ultrasound, please drink 8 glasses (half gallon) to one whole gallon of water daily. This will help create clearer images as it will increase the amount of fluid surrounding the baby. Your bladder DOES NOT need to be full for your appointment unless you are in your first trimester.

No. The services being performed are elective, non-diagnostic 3d ultrasounds for entertainment purposes only. You must be under the care of a physician for your pregnancy.

3D ultrasound is recommended between 27-34 weeks of pregnancy although it can be done at any time! Follow us on Instagram to see how your baby might look like on 3D at different stages of your pregnancy.

15-20 weeks- Best time to see baby’s entire body

20-25 weeks- Baby’s facial features are clearer and fetal movements are optimally visualized

26-30 weeks- Baby’s features are more defined and developed

30-36 weeks- Facial features are seen best. Chubby cheeks, fingers and feet well visualized.

We try to obtain the best images/videos possible during your 3D/4D session. However, many times baby can be uncooperative and/or other factors may contribute to not obtaining clear images. Quality will vary by:

• low and/or cloudy amniotic fluid
• late gestational age
• sub-optimal fetal position
• maternal body habitus (weight, build, size, structure)
• placental location
• baby’s leg, arm, hand, feet in front of face

Sometimes, babies have plans of their own! If your little one isn’t quite ready to cooperate during your ultrasound, we’d love to welcome you back for another opportunity to capture those special moments.

When We Recommend a Rescan

01 | A Little Too Early?

Sometimes dating can be off and baby needs a little more time to grow before we can capture the images we’re hoping for. We recommend returning in 2–3 weeks for another look.

02 | Baby Hiding Their Sweet Face?

If tiny hands, little feet, placenta, or baby’s position makes it difficult to capture at least one partial face image then we recommend returning in 1 week to try again.

03 | Gender Still a Mystery?

If baby isn’t in the right position for us to get a clear view for gender determination, we recommend returning in 1 week for another peek.

Our Rescan & Refund Policy

Every baby is unique, and ultrasound sessions don’t always go as planned! Factors such as baby’s position, placenta placement, and maternal body habitus can affect image clarity and visibility.

At Sweet Moments Ultrasound Studio, we understand how special these moments are. That’s why we’re happy to offer one complimentary rescan appointment when we’re unable to obtain at least one partial face image during your original session.

Please note: Because our services are based on the time and experience provided rather than guaranteed images, all ultrasound appointments are non-refundable, regardless of baby’s position, cooperation, or image clarity.

All ultrasounds are elective and non-diagnostic. Image clarity and visibility cannot be guaranteed, even during a complimentary rescan.

Your images will be delivered via email or text message by the end of the day on the day of your appointment. If you haven’t received your images by 7:00 PM, please give us a call or send us a text at 413-566-6062, and we’ll be happy to assist you!

No, the entire session is not recorded, as we spend some time helping the baby settle and cooperate for the photos. However, we do capture special video clips throughout the session, which will be included when we deliver all of your images!
